What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This beautiful sampler quilt was made by Marion.  The pattern is from Fig Tree and Co and is called Christmas Figs.  Marion's color palette is so different from the original it is almost hard to believe it is the same pattern!  

Marion used fabrics from the City Lights collection from Northcott fabrics and as you can see the results are stunning.

Marion asked me to select the pantograph for this one.  I find it less stressful and prefer to work with my clients to select the designs, but because I have gotten to know Marion's style I agreed ...

Marlene brought this great fall quilt.  The pattern is called Midsummer by Prairie Grass Patterns.  The fabric collection is called Spellbound by Sweet Fire Road for Moda.

Marlene chose the Yo-yo pantograph and So Fine #428 Copper thread.  We both felt the shape of the yo-yo pantograph complimented the moon motifs in the fabric really well.

Marlene selected the Yo-Yo pantograph which adds a nice even texture across the top.

The cozy fireside backing looks so inviting and shows off the quilting wonderfully.

Cindy brought a pair of sports themed quilts that she made for her grandsons.  The hockey themed quilt she bought as a kit.  The pattern is called Just Add Ice by Miss Winnie Designs and was designed to feature the Northcott "All Star Hockey" Collection.  Cindy selected the Yo-Yo pantograph for this one.

The second quilt was soccer themed, and Cindy used the pattern as a starting point and made up her own plan.  This quilt received the Quirky pantograph.

Both quilts were backed with Cuddletex and had finishing touch added by Bindings by Marion.
